2020 Season Cancelled

Out of concern for the safety and well-being of our audience, performers, vendors, and staff, we are sorry to announce the cancellation of the 2020 Great Dickens Christmas Fair. This difficult decision takes into account the continued unpredictability of the pandemic and projected State restrictions for mass gatherings through the end of the year. We feel this is our best - and only - course of action. To read more about our plans for the 2020 season, click here.

Black Lives Matter.

We support Black Lives Matter, and believe that we are individually and collectively responsible for taking direct action to cultivate empathy, prevent abuse, and create opportunity and real change. We must come together to diligently and intentionally eliminate the deep systemic racism that has existed in our society for far too long.

To be silent is to be complicit.

The time has come for us to dispense with ‘good enough’ and reimagine our institutions, our communities, our theaters, and our economic systems through the lens of genuine human equality. As we explore ways we can take direct action, we will be listening to the Black, Indigenous, and people of color in our community and offer these resources which we have found valuable. Please donate, educate, and take action.

Nationally - NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund, Color of Change

Locally - Showing Up For Racial Justice Bay Area

Personally - Anti-racism resources
