Then visit one of our 5 traditional pubs to enjoy draft ales, wine, and champagne, or wrap your hands around a Hot Buttered Rum, Irish coffee, or Hot Toddy. Or, enjoy a traditional English High Tea with Scones and little sandwiches - anytime is teatime in Britain!

Our fine food purveyors and their menus include:

Cinnamon Crunch Almonds (Valerie Taylor) Glazed and roasted before you, these sweet nuts are habit-forming!

 

Roasting Beef Inne (Jim Turner) Sumptuous French-dipped roast beef with real mash & gravy! Bread pudding and delicious crepes! Or how about a steak & potato pasty with an exotic Thai iced tea? There is something for everyone!

Acropolis Greek Food (Ted & Glynnis Papageorgacopoulos) Egg Lemon soup, Gyros, Chicken Pitas, Falafel Pita, Athenina Pita (salad in a pita), Greek salad, Spanakopita (spinach pie), Tyropita (cheese pie), Kalamata olives, Moussaka plate, Dolmas, and Piroshki. Also Baklava and delicious ice cream desserts and floats.

HMS Fish & Chips (Art & Cookie Napala) Traditional English fish and chips, oysters, and calamari, as well as hot New England Clam Chowder.

 

The Tippling Toad (Patrick Morris) Delicious full meals, including turkey, duck, and chicken platters, with all the sides and extras. A Christmas favorite. Don't forget the pumpkin pie!

A private dining parlour (shown at right) may be reserved for a special sit-down feast. There are two seatings a day, at 2:00 and 4:00; included in the reservation is a ticket for the French Postcards Review. Advance reservations are recommended, and can be made either at the counter or in advance by emailing thetipplingtoad@gmail.com.

Mr. Barker's Bangers (Valerie Taylor) Banger sausages (mild and hot & spicy) with grilled onions or sauerkraut, smoked bratwurst sausages, bangers and mash plates, as well as gourmet French onion soup and iced tea.

 

 

Heritage Meat Pies (Marlene Haggard) Traditional steak, chicken, and sausage pies; Shepherd and Cottage pies, Cornish pasties; and Scones with strawberries and cream.

 

 

Fresh Popped Popcorn (Andrew Patterson) Fresh hot, buttered popcorn served all day in front of the Victoria & Albert Theatre.

 

 

Mr. Punch's Pasta (Andrew Patterson) Children of all ages will delight in our new addition to the Fair. Come taste Bow Tie pasta with a flavorful Marinara sauce with or without meatballs, a simple green salad, and garlic bread.

Cuthbert's Tea Shoppe (Sue Honor) Come enjoy a fine cup of tea at Cuthbert's Tea Shoppe. Exquisite scones, scrumptious desserts, and tasty tea sandwiches cheerfully provided in a charming tea shop atmosphere. High Tea served every day at 4 p.m., with reservations required. Due to public demand, we are now offering on-line reservations so patrons of the Fair can make a reservation for tea in advance of their visit. Bramosia Fine Chocolates & Candies (Paul Schneider) Fine hand-made artisan chocolates and candies including luscious truffles, creamy caramels, buttery toffee, and rich rocky road with fresh made marshmallows. By the piece or by the box!

 

The Chestnut Cart (Jonah Nickolds) Hot, Hot, Hot chestnuts. Watch them roast and enjoy hot roasted chestnuts in the traditional English style - served warm in a paper cone!
