Here is one article not to be missed:
Dickens' Inner Child – Vanity Fair Magazine
Dickens' 200th Anniversary Celebration at the Great Dickens Christmas Fair
Our plans for this special celebratory year include the creation of two decidedly Dickensian stages: the Crummles Pennygaff Theatre, and the "Christmas Carol" environmental stage. The irrepressible Mr. Crummles and his ever-so theatrical family will host a range of new shows, while timeless and iconic scenes from Dickens' classic "A Christmas Carol" will be presented on a special environmental stage as well as throughout the Fair.
The Dickens Christmas Fair already boasts the largest cast of Dickensian characters brought to life in one place anywhere in the world. Our cast of more than 700 performers will present new shows and exhibits such as Richardson's Hall of Wonders, a real Victorian sideshow filled with whimsical wonders and curious conundrums. These are but a few examples of the many ways in which we will be honoring the birth of one of the world's greatest storytellers. Around every corner of the winding lanes of Dickensian London is the opportunity to applaud, marvel, carouse, dance, and mingle in a festive mood! Join us for this celebration!
